Autodesk's New BIM Interoperability Tools Website Features 4 Free Apps

Autodesk has unveiled a new BIM Interoperability Tools website featuring a selection of free add-ins. So, why a new site? Why not publish the add-ins on Autodesk.com or on the Autodesk App Store? It may be because these add-ins were developed by CADD Microsystems for Autodesk, with Autodesk's government customers in mind. The tools were previously buried on the CADD Microsystems website. I know this because I had the pleasure of evaluating a couple of these tools for my last employer, specifically the Model Checker and Model Checker Configurator.

The free add-ins on the new website are as follows.

Autodesk Model Checker for Revit®
This free tool will automatically check your Revit models based on a
set of BIM requirements and generate a compliance report.

Autodesk Model Checker Configurator for Revit®
This free tool will allow you to make your own configuration
files for the Autodesk Model Checker for Revit.

Autodesk COBie Extension for Revit®
This free tool will allow you to set up your Revit models to capture COBie
data and then export that data to a COBie compliant spreadsheet.

Autodesk Classification Manager for Revit®
This free tool will allow you to quickly apply data from multiple
classification systems to all your elements.

There's more information available on the BIM Interoperability Tools website.

Editor's Note: Expect more detailed postings on each product as well as a comprehensive review of the Model Checker Configurator and Model Checker here on Revit Add-ons soon.
