Poll Results: For What Other Products Should Revit Add-ons Cover Add-in Applications?

Last week we held polls seeking reader input on what other Autodesk products from the App Store we should cover add-ins for. We listed four Autodesk products, BIM 360, Autodesk Advance Steel, Vault, and 3ds Max. Unstated in our initial post, we listed them in order from "pretty much a no-brainer" (BIM 360) to "we don't really want to cover that" (3ds Max). The results pretty much shook out in the same order.

  • BIM 360 received a resounding "yes" vote by a ratio of 11:1.
  • Autodesk Advance Steel was a push at 1:1.
  • Vault was a "no" at a ratio of 1:3.
  • 3ds Max was a "no" at a ratio of 4:5 (whew!).

Accordingly, we're going to start covering add-ins for BIM 360. Also Autodesk Advance Steel, but at the lowest priority (relative to Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360).

For those that participated, thank you!
